REBECCA BROWN - PHYSIOTHERAPIST
I’m Rebecca and I’ve been with Lifestyle Physiotherapy since 2018. I love the variety of clients that we get to work with here. Everyone comes with a different story and a different challenge, but the goal is the same – to help you to get back to living your best life.
I am a very keen sportsperson myself, having played nationally for women’s football and have been involved in many other sports including squash, tennis, netball and running. In my teenage years, I experienced first hand the benefits of the work that physios did in helping me get back to playing sport at a high level. That plus the practical nature of physiotherapy work appealed to me.
After graduating from Otago University in 2013 I spent the first 5 years of my career working at a practice in Cambridge. I have been involved with several sporting teams, including representative men’s rugby, womens sevens and regional football and have also worked closely with students in a high school setting. I have experience treating a wide variety of clients and injuries and I use a very hands on approach to treatment. This includes manual therapy and dry needling, but I am also passionate about exercise prescription and gym rehabiliation.
What I enjoy particularly about my work is helping people to get back to their sport and physical activity, whatever their level, so they can keep healthy and moving and doing their thing.
I am a very active person, with a passion for sports, exercise and the outdoors. I love to travel and explore new places and can’t wait to be able to see more of the world! I love good food, a good book, a sunny day at the beach and enjoying time with friends and family.
