ABOUT GEORGIA

Kia Ora, I'm Georgia. I joined the team in 2021 after graduating from AUT with a degree in Physiotherapy, having previously completed a degree in Exercise Science in the United States while playing basketball on a Division I scholarship.

I played a variety of sports growing up before basketball became my main focus, going on to represent New Zealand as a Tall Fern and later competing for my country in 3x3 basketball at the World Cup. Along the way, I picked up my fair share of injuries, which ultimately drew me toward physiotherapy — I experienced the benefits of good rehab from a young age, and I wanted to offer other people that same thing: a way back to doing what they love.

Becoming a mum gave me a second, very personal reason to specialise further. Going through pregnancy and postpartum recovery myself showed me first hand just how much pelvic health matters, and how often it's overlooked. That experience led me to complete further training in pelvic health physiotherapy, and I now love supporting people through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and pelvic floor-related concerns.

Across my practice, I combine exercise-based rehabilitation with manual therapy to get the best outcomes for my patients, with a particular passion for returning athletes to sport and helping people feel strong and confident in their bodies postpartum. For me, treatment isn't just about getting your pain to settle down — I want you to understand what's going on in your body and why, so you leave with the tools to keep managing your own health long after you've finished seeing me.
