CATHERINE TSAI - PHYSIOTHERAPIST
My name is Catherine Tsai and I’ve been at Lifestyle Physiotherapy since 2015.
I was born in Taipei, Taiwan. I moved to New Zealand with my family when I was 7 years old and lived mostly in Dunedin. I grew up with two cultures and am fluent in both Mandarin and English.
I’ve always wanted to work in a profession where I can help people and get to know them at the same time. I’ve also always been interested in figuring out how the human body works. After graduating from Otago University, I worked in Dunedin providing rehabilitation in a gym and in a hydrotherapy setting.
After living in Dunedin for approximately 20 years, I moved north to expand my career.
The things I like most about working at Lifestyle Physiotherapy are my friendly co-workers, the variety of cases I see and the general welcoming atmosphere of the clinics. It makes such a difference. My particular interest is elderly care-related rehabilitation and the management of injury.
Outside of work I love going for bush walks around Hamilton, combining exercise and the chance to take in the beautiful scenery. I’m actively involved in the Chinese Methodist church community.
